Daily Reading

July 3, 2008

So, my friend Elena and I, who I spend almost every second of every day with these days, had a discussion while teaching her dog to respect the two of us as dieties.  And besides relating ourselves to God/ gods, we were complaining that we should be much more well-read at this point in our lives.  Considering my bookshelf is stocked fully with classic books you plan on reading, but if you are like me read twenty pages before putting the book down for the next five months, I felt that this should be easily accomplished.

First!  I chose a book.  Mosquitoes by William Faulkner.  I must have started this book the first time about a year and a half ago so I thought I would start over again.  Currently, I am only about fifty pages in, but thusfar, I only have devoted about an hour before bed to reading it.  I really need to start setting time aside in the day to read.  I suppose that part two of my plan is to find this time hidden in the day.  Actually, it may not be there between class and work.  Good luck to me!

Headline of the day: Big Oil in Iraq
